Welcome! I’m Laura Rees — an artist, photographer, and lifelong creative inspired by the beauty of the connections we build through food, travel, and the art of gathering. Whether it’s the comfort of a shared meal, the magic of discovering a new place, the thoughtful details of a styled tablescape, or those beautifully real moments when the food is half-eaten and the stories are flowing, my work is about celebrating the scenes that bring us together.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to creative expression. Whether painting, drawing, or capturing images through my camera lens, I’ve always sought to tell stories and celebrate the connections that shape our lives. In addition to my art, I have built a career in marketing with one of Canada’s leading restaurant and hospitality companies. This experience has deepened my appreciation for food, design, and the magic of shared experiences.

What sets my work apart is the variety of mediums I use to bring my vision to life. From expressive paintings and travel photography to embroidered linens, one-of-a-kind vintage finds, and thoughtfully sourced home goods from artisanal brands, my work celebrates creativity without boundaries. It reflects my belief that art doesn’t just live on walls, but also in the details of how we gather, share, and connect.

At the heart of everything I create and curate is a deep love for hosting and hospitality, and the simple yet profound act of bringing people together around a table. To me, art is not just about what you see, but what you feel — the warmth of a shared moment, and the stories that linger long after.
